Hi–I’m Amy, a Southern California-based event planner who’s fueled by exploring new places, Friday nights in and a good spa day (or two).
Growing up, you could always count on me being the one to nail down plans with friends, turn mundane activities into themed parties and advise friends on proper etiquette. It wasn’t ever a question of “if,” it was a question of “when” I would use the gifts God gave me to help other people plan and execute their own celebrations. It wasn’t until I read the book The Crossroads of Should and Must by Elle Luna that I really started to put the puzzle pieces together and quit my full-time job to pursue event planning.
I believe there’s an immeasurable level of inherited trust you gain from mutual connection.
With a degree in advertising from the University of Alabama and a background in fashion PR and styling, I took my creative and professional training and applied it to building Amy Rose Events. I set out to learn everything I could from my network of friends and family, shadowing florists, coordinating projects for an event rental company and assisting local wedding planners. Since 2018, I’ve built the business solely on word-of-mouth referrals because I believe there’s an immeasurable level of inherited trust you gain from mutual connection.
When I’m not planning weddings or events, you can find me walking around the Rose Bowl, biking to the beach in Santa Barbara, reading a good book, wine tasting in Paso Robles or skating at the local ice rink. As a lover of travel, both domestic and international, I always make time to plan my next vacation whether it’s to visit my family’s lake house in Montana, rent a houseboat in Amsterdam or drive down to San Diego for the night.
If you’re a gracious, kind-hearted person who appreciates the finer things in life, I’m confident we’ll get along swimmingly and I can’t wait to meet you.

Christy joined the Amy Rose Events team in early 2021 and has been assisting us with events ever since. When she’s not traveling with us to weddings in Carmel or Colorado, she can be found traveling abroad herself and working in animation as a production coordinator. Christy’s attention to detail and can-do attitude is unparalleled and we don’t know what we’d do without her, especially when Amy loses her phone and keys, which happens a lot more than you’d think.
Annalise Ousley
Lead Coordinator
Annalise first assisted Amy Rose Events in 2021 and traveled to Dallas the following spring for a wedding amidst semester finals. Having returned from her studies in Oklahoma last fall, Annalise is back in LA for good (we hope) and can be found dancing, writing and emotionally supporting her now famous brother when she isn’t assisting us with weddings and events. Annalise’s ability to wrangle kids and fill a need when she sees it has proven her to be a welcome addition to the team..
